KR Puram, also known as Krishnarajapura, is a popular eastern locality of Bangalore, Karnataka. This area is part of the BBMP zones and is 15 km (9.3 miles) from Bangalore City railway station. It is also the headquarters of the Bangalore East taluk. It has several central and state government offices. The area is named after Krishnaraja Wadiyar III. He was the ruler of Mysore from 1799 to 1869. The pin code of the area is 560036, and it is also a premium residential hub.
